The 2019 NFL season is now 10 weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire running backs for Week 11.

Brian Hill, RB, Atlanta Falcons

With Ito Smith (neck) out for the season and Devonta Freeman leaving Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a foot injury, the door was open for Hill and he finished with 61 yards on 20 carries along with a 10-yard receiving touchdown.

Since Freeman didn’t return to Sunday’s game, it’s reasonable to think he’ll miss some time. If Hill is indeed the workhorse in Week 11, as he was after Freeman left Sunday’s game, he’ll get a favorable matchup against a Carolina Panthers defense that entered Week 10 allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs (Yahoo! PPR scoring) and 4.9 yards per carry to the position.

If Freeman does not miss time, Hill is at least worth adding as the handcuff in deeper leagues. But he could be a viable RB2 or flex in 12-team leagues for Week 11 if Freeman is out, with the potential to sustain that value if Freeman misses extended time.
