Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants
Jones went 26-for-40 for 308 yards and four touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 10, while also being sacked six times and fumbling three times (one lost). But he didn’t thrown an interception, and has topped 300 passing yards with four touchdowns in two of his last three games.
The Giants have a bye in Week 11, followed by a matchup against a Chicago Bears defense that entered Week 10 allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Green Bay Packers (Week 13) also entered Week 10 in the top-10 against quarterbacks, but they have allowed over 290 passing yards in three of their last four games.
In Week 14 Jones gets the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been better lately but still went into their Week 10 bye in the bottom half of the league against quarterbacks. Then he’ll get favorable matchups against the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins in Week 15 and 16, with the Eagles on the slate again in Week 17.
Jones negates some of his fantasy value with turnovers, while also adding something with his legs. He’s worth carrying as a QB2 in 12 and 14-team leagues through a bye week and a tough Week 12 matchup, with an eye on the payoff to come from Week 13-Week 17.
