Dallas Cowboys, D/ST

The Cowboys’ defense had a rough outing in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings, allowing 28 points with just one sack and no takeaways. They’ve been up and down as a fantasy defense, with a get-right opportunity in Week 11.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was a surprise inactive last Sunday morning, leaving Jeff Driskell to start in his place. As expected Detroit managed just 13 points against the Chicago Bears, as Driskel was sacked twice and threw an interception.

Stafford is considered week-to-week with broken bones in his back, so his status for Week 11 is to be determined. But let’s place him on the wrong side of questionable right now, and he’ll surely be limited as well as being no guarantee to finish Sunday’s game if he does start.

There is downside here, if Stafford plays and is somewhere close to full functional (as unlikely as the latter seems). But the upside is also there for Dallas’ defense, with an obvious higher ceiling if Driskel gets another start.
