Noah Fant, TE, Denver Broncos

Highlighted by a channeling of Rob Gronkowski on a 75-yard touchdown, Fant had three catches for 115 yards against the Cleveland Browns. He appears to be the beneficiary of Emmanuel Sanders being traded by the Broncos, with 12 targets over the last two games (17 targets over the last three).

Denver has a bye in Week 10, but that does not disqualify Fant as a waiver wire add on this barren tight end landscape. His matchups coming out of that bye are not particularly good either, against the Minnesota Vikings (Week 11), Buffalo Bills (Week 12), Los Angeles Chargers (Week 13) and Houston Texans (Week 14). But the Vikings are toward the top of the league in most targets per game allowed to tight ends, while the other three are allowing bottom-end target volume to the position.

With few other options in the passing game for the Broncos, regardless of who is under center, Fant has the potential to be a TE1 down the stretch. That upside is worth adding during a bye week in 12 and 14-team leagues.
