Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings secondary showed up last week but they’re still a vulnerable bunch that has shown up small at times. This is a game where defensively you have two strong teams, but also quarterbacks looking to make a name for themselves in the playoffs for the first time. Kirk Cousins may have gotten the monkey off his back, for a week, but Jimmy Garopollo will show once and for all, if he’s money in the playoffs. If so, he’s targeting rookie receiver Deebo Samuel who has been as reliable as anyone on this team in a large capacity whether it’s running the ball or catching.
The Vikings should have the Niners’ running attack in check, but if the Vikings’ secondary could be broken down as it has in the regular season, Samuel will find spaces to create. He has scored in four of the final six games and has five games with over 75 yards receiving. With Davante Adams, Adam Thielen, Tyreek Hill and D.K. Metcalf getting heavy action, Samuel is a low cost option with potential big return.
