Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

When you look at the other running backs in the Championship games, I think Damien Williams will be running up against a wall but a case could be made about him getting key carries in the red zone. It’s tough with Travis Kelce out there though as the preferred option. So I look at the NFC and in San Francisco, there is no question the Niners will run the ball as the Packers allowed the 9th-most fantasy points to the position. But who will get the touches and how often? That’s a tricky name to guess since it is anyone’s guess if it will be Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman. Guess right and you’re in the money, guess wrong and you have a hole in your lineup that’s hard to make up.

For the same reason though, I like Aaron Jones to get red zone carries, but not the yards. Last week against the Seahawks, Jones rushed the ball 21 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns, which is a potential box score in this game too. I don’t think the Niners will blow out the Packers in this rematch, but the Packers will strive to play differently and they must keep Jones involved as much as Davante Adams.
