Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts

DK Price: $5,200

If you’re looking to save some cash at the QB position this week, Derek Carr makes for an intriguing play. The Raiders are coming fresh off a bye week and will be hitting the field without Amari Cooper after he was traded to the Cowboys.

Carr has been mostly bad all season outside of his Week 4 overtime game against the Browns where he threw for 437 yards with 4 TD’s and 2 INT’s. That coupled with the loss of Cooper should serve as major deterrents for most which should give Carr a rather low ownership percentage. There is potential for a bigger game here, however, as the Raiders lost Marshawn Lynch to a multi-week injury which could put more emphasis on the passing game going forward. The Colts also aren’t a complete stay away matchup as they’ve allowed multiple touchdowns to quarterbacks in 4-of-7 weeks this season including over 300 passing yards twice.

Andrew Luck and the Colts offense should move the ball plenty and the Raiders defense isn’t scaring anyone which should create a positive game flow for Carr and the Raiders. While Carr is far from a lock, adding him and Martavis Bryant into your lineups as an ugly stack allows you to create some really interesting lineups and could pay off as both players offer big game potential.
