Daily Fantasy Sports is one of the most popular forms of fantasy football you’ll find. There are plenty of sites to choose from but, the most popular by far is DraftKings.com.
Upside is everything when setting your roster on DK. Finding those hidden gems with low ownership totals and potential for a huge performance can take hours of research and analyzing. Luckily for you, we do a lot of the leg work for you.
Each week we will be bringing you players we have found on the Sunday main slate that present great value based on their price, potential ownership percentage and big-game upside. Don’t forget to also check out our weekly DFS videos for additional players and more insight. Let’s get to it!
Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens
DK Price: $5,700
While a matchup against a Ravens defense that has allowed the least fantasy points to quarterbacks doesn’t look great on paper, Drew Brees has been so phenomenal that the matchup is worth overlooking this week in DFS. Brees offers his best value of the season this week at a sub $6k price point. This is a steal considering his 27 average fantasy points per game is the highest amongst all quarterbacks on Sunday’s main slate if you don’t include Ryan Fitzpatrick (RIP FitzMagic).
Brees has been masterful in all games but one this season in Week 4 where he threw no touchdowns against the Giants. He has thrown 11 TD’s over a five game span and has yet to throw an interception this season.
While the Ravens have been solid against QB’s this season having held 3-of-6 QB’s under 200 yards passing, those QB’s were also Josh Allen (74/0/0) in his rookie debut Week 1, Case Keenum (192/0/1) in Week 3 and Marcus Mariota (117/0/0) last week. The Ravens haven’t been completely unstoppable, however, as they allowed Andy Dalton to throw for 265 yards and 4 TD’s against them. Baker Mayfield also threw for 365 yards against them in Week 5.
Brees has been hot enough to put up a very solid performance against the stout defense this week and will likely never be cheaper all season. He’s a screaming value priced as the QB10 this week.
